Lynn Helms, director of the ND Dept. of Mineral Resources—the state regulatory agency over the oil and gas industry—was given a 3.5 % pay raise by the ND Industrial Commission, elevating his annual salary from $233,935 to $242,112. The commission took the action at its July 29 meeting and gave pay hikes also to other executives in agencies under its jurisdiction including the Bank of North Dakota.
